Fantasy Football

This is the discussion forum for fantasy football topics.

Subject: NFL Draft

The NFL draft, at least the part of the draft that most fans pay attention too, has no been completed. In any case, this years draft looks to have a pretty profound impact on fantasy football rosters this coming fall. Who would have thought that Reggie Bush would be in New Orleans, setting up yet another running back platoon that us fantasy owners just drool over (not!).

Here is a quick list of some of the most notable of fantasy ramifications:

--Vince Young going to Tenessee and is the favorite to be the opening week starter for the Titans.
--The Packers trading of Jevon Walker to the Broncos further hurts Ashlie Lelie's value while enhancing Donald Driver's value.
--Then there is the afore mentioned Reggie Bush deal, with him going to New Orleans and, most likely, the setting up of a platoon situation with the Duece.
--Vernon Davis going to San Fran should give Smith the big target he needs to push his QB rating over 75.
--DeAngelo Williams in a Panther uniform will mean that you should be fairly safe drafting a running back in Carolina for a change.
--The Green Bay defense is now in the top 10 for draft day.
--You will not want to touch a Houston Texan with a 10 foot pole.
--Matt Leinert and Jay Cutler will have very little impact this year.

Any thoughts on the draft, or on how it will impact your draft day preparation?

In my next post, I will do a team by team post draft fantasy analysis for the NFC.
